Robert Alan Pepper, 67, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. Bob was born January 13, 1955, to parents Matthew and Elizabeth Pepper in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Bob proudly resided most of his life in Toms River. Bob is survived by his six children, Christine Greene (Mike), Lauren Pepper (Jay), Cailyn Zike (Doug), Mackenzie Pepper (Jack), Bryan Pepper, and Brendan Pepper. Bob is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Kathleen, Sean, Evelyn, Michael, Makenna, Norah, Aiden, and Hayden. Bob leaves behind his brothers, Kenneth (Judy), Brian (Lisa), Scott (Katie), Tommy, and his sister Barbara (Zach). Bob leaves behind his dog, Cody. Bob leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Matt & Betty Pepper and brother Ron. Bob loved boating. He was a deckhand for Exxon on the tugboats in both New York Harbor and Chesapeake Bay. After his time with Exxon, Bob worked for the Ocean County Buildings and Grounds Department. When not on the tugboat, Bob loved to spend his days taking his family and friends out on his boat in the Barnegat Bay. Bob loved music, he could play guitar by ear, he was interested in history, enjoyed trivia, and doing his scratch offs. Bob enjoyed a nice cold beer; he was the life of the party who made everyone feel welcome. Anyone who spent time with Bob will miss his witty remarks and good-natured approach to life. Bob loved to laugh and was quicker to make everyone around him laugh even harder. He loved gathering with friends and family, being around those he loved is what made is what made him most happy. Those who were lucky enough to know Bob were fortunate. They are left with many great stories, and broken hearts. The viewing will take place from 4pm - 8pm on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home 2482 Church Rd., Toms River, NJ. Funeral services will take place at 11am on Thursday, February 10th, 2022, at Silverton Memorial followed by burial services at Ocean County Memorial Park.
