Richard E. Smith

March 11, 1946 - January 22, 2022

Richard E. Smith of Toms River passed away January 22, 2022 at his home at the age of 75. Born in Jersey City, Richard graduated from Brick Township High School and attended both Saint Peters College and Ocean County College. He was part owner of Landco Industries and was a manager for other land development companies. In recent years he was a salesman for Carl's Fencing and Home Improvement Company. Richard was a runner his entire life and participated in several marathons. He loved lfie and enjoyed interacting with many people. In his 75 years he only saw the good in everyone he met. He and his wife Rose Ann had many special moments during their 54 year marriage. Most of all he was devoted to his 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be held, Saturday, February 5th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River, NJ. Funeral Services will begin 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home, Cremation will be Private.
