Ralph Sodano

June 23, 1933 - November 28, 2021

Ralph Sodano, 88 years old of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with dementia. Ralph was born and raised in Newark, NJ. He then joined the U.S. Navy in 1953. He served aboard the U.S. New Kent Ship and the U.S. Thuban and obtained the rank of 1st Class Petti Officer. Ralph then made Maplewood his home before later moving to Toms River. He was plant manager of S & G Tool Aid in Newark, NJ then retiring in 1997. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson. He also enjoyed going to the beach and boardwalk at the Jersey Shore. He will be best remembered as a kind man who would do anything for friends and his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by his daughter and grandson. He was preceded by his wife Margaret (nee) Aurillo in 2013. Surviving are his daughter Margaret and grandson Christopher also of Toms River. Visiting will be Thursday, December 2 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Arrive at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow to Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
