After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Mauro Gagliardi peacefully passed away on October 19.th, 2021 at the age of 76 at his Brick, NJ home surrounded by his children. He was predeceased by his wife of 43yrs., Geraldine Gagliardi. He is survived by his children daughter Cheryl Nicol, daughter Stacey Anello, son in law Sal Anello, daughter Dawn Gagliardi, predeceased son in law Henry Bullock, son Jeffrey Roberts, son Matthew Gagliardi and daughter in law Jennifer Gagliardi. Mauro also had 16 grandchildren, Tyler, Tori, Jake, Justin, Courtney, Anna, Jayson, Josh, Olivia, Avery, Matthew Jr., Emmalynn, Ava, Natalie, Hailey, Predeceased Renee and soon to be baby Gagliardi #6. He also had 4 Great-Grandchildren Isabella, Sammy, Nicholas and Peyton. Each and ever one brought him great joy and happiness. Through the years Mauro had a special bond with so many nieces and nephews making memories for all to cherish. Niece Amy , Nephew Sean Maldony and family he loved you as if you were his own. Mauro was born on August 21, 1945 in Orange, NJ to father John Gagliardi and mother Jenni Gagliardi, who predeceased him. He grew up in a loving family. Surviving brother Frank Gagliardi, Predeceased by sister Pauline, and Brothers Angelo Gagliardi and Dominic Gagliardi. After Attending Immaculate Conception High School, Mauro proudly served his Country in Vietnam, until his Honorable Discharge. After living in Parsippany, NJ. Mauro, with his wife moved to Brick, NJ where they raised their children. Mauro quickly involved himself by Volunteering at the Junior Sports League, where he made lifelong friends. He Coached baseball for several years before becoming the Commissioner of The Brick National Little League. Mauro worked for Acosta Food Company for several years, before retiring in 2020. His passion for Baseball led him to Working for the Lakewood Blue Claw Organization for 20 years. He loved to be around people and the Stadium. To him this was not a job. Holidays always excited Mauro, as he knew the whole family would be together. Christmas Eve was his favorite. He took pride in reading “Twas the Night Before Christmas” to all his grandchildren. His tradition will continue for many generations. The Yankees was his forever team. He never missed a game. “LET’S GO YANKEES!” To know him was to love him. His laughter, his charm, his love, and his personality was priceless. He will be greatly missed by all.
