Ann Baydal
December 17, 1925 - May 12, 2022
Anna Gravante Baydal passed peacefully at the age of 96 surrounded by her family. She was an amazing woman who was loved dearly, is missed, and will always be cherished. "Nana" as she was called by her grandchildren, was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was born in Newark, NJ on December 17th, 1925 to Charles and Nancy Juliano. She was the 6th of 12 children and grew up in Newark where she eventually married her husband John, on July 25th, 1948. They had 1 son Johnny, and relocated to Jackson where they lived happily until her husband's death in 1974. Anna worked as a hairdresser for many years and ran her own beauty shop in Toms River. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, fishing, and crabbing. She loved cooking and baking, especially Italian food and desserts. Anna's greatest passion in life was her 5 grandchildren (or her kids as she called them). They were her pride and joy. There is no denying the love she had for them. The memories made with Nana were priceless and if there was a "World's Best Grandmother" award, she would have won it a million times over. Anna is predeceased by her parents, nine of her siblings, her husband John, and son Johnny. She is survived by her sisters, Nancy and Geraldine, her daughter in law Jan, her grandchildren Chippy and his wife Nicole, Amanda, Dana and her husband Dave, Gina, and Bobby. She is also survived by her 3 great grand children Anthony, Emmalina, and Zoey, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM There will be a funeral service at 1:00PM followed by burial at Ocean County Memorial Park.
