Angelo "Pop" Tremamunno

October 20, 1923 - January 18, 2022

Angelo Tremamunno, 98, of Brick, NJ peacefully passed away on January 18, 2022 with his family by his side in Ocean Medical Center. Angelo was born in N.Y. to Michael and Anna Tremamunno on October 20, 1923. He enlisted in the Navy on September 16, 1943 and served his country proudly in WWII. On D-Day, June 6, 1944 he was in Normandy where he lost many friends that day. He served until October 30, 1945. He was a life member of the VFW Post 8867. He returned home and worked in the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 28 out of NY. He never gave up his love for making things, especially birdhouses (which I’m pretty sure if you are reading this you have one). He could make a birdhouse out of anything….literally anything. He moved from the Bronx, NY to Brick in 1977. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings (Tess, Sam, Dom, Vinnie, Emil) and loving wife, Rose Tremamunno. Angelo is survived by his children, John and Donna Tremamunno, of Toms River, NJ and Barbara and David Phillips, of Sun City, FL. His grandchildren, Victoria, Jennifer, Nicole, and Michael. His great grandchildren, Olivia, Michael, Emma, and Jacob. Visiting will be Friday, January 21 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. Funeral mass will be Saturday 10:30 AM at St. Luke's RC Church, 1674 Old Freehold Rd., Toms River. Arrive at the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow to Ocean County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Angelo's memory to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or an Veterans organization of your choice.
