Albert H. Mitchell
February 19, 1937 - January 3, 2022
Albert H. (Buster) Mitchell, 84 of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2022. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Albert H. and Viola Perrin in 1937, Albert worked as a metal fabricator until retiring in 1995. Albert spent his retirement years alternating between his beloved winter residence in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL, and his home in Toms River, where he enjoyed the proximity of the beaches close by. Albert was a volunteer for the many youth sports organizations in Cranford, NJ, where he moved his family from Jersey City in 1967. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and a proud, long-time - over 50 years - season ticket holder for the New York Giants. Albert was predeceased by his son Mark in 2011 and his high-school sweetheart and wife of over 60 years Judith in October 2021, both of whom he missed dearly. Surviving are his son Michael and his wife Michele, and his daughter Joanne and her husband Eugene Morrison - both of whom cared for and enjoyed their time with Mom and Dad in their later years, even going so far as to move in as next-door neighbors. (The stories they have!) Surviving as well are his grandchildren Corey and Alison, both of whom had a lot of laughs and smiles and will have wonderful life-long memories of their Grandma and Grandpa. Also surviving are a host of long-time friends, some even going so far back as grammar school and others met over his very full life. He and Judith are already missed by many.
